Thank you for choosing to spay or neuter your pet!

You are choosing to help reduce the unwanted pet population.

Now it’s time to take the next step. If you cannot afford the surgery that your vet offers, there are options.

Step 1

SNAP is an assistance program, NOT A CLINIC. SNAP is 100% funded by donations. You must check with multiple low cost spay/neuter clinics in and around Columbus first. We can only help people and pets as long as we have enough donations, so vouchers are never guaranteed.

SNAP of CENTRAL OHIO DOES NOT ASSIST WITH ANY SURGERY FOR A PET THAT HAS BEEN BOUGHT FROM A BREEDER OR PET STORE!

Contact these low cost clinics to ask for pricing before deciding if you still need financial assistance from SNAP:

Shelter Outreach Services of Ohio – SOS (SNAP partner clinic)
3500 E Livingston Ave, Columbus, OH 43227
(614) 396-8707

The Animal Health Organization (SNAP partner clinic)
7206 Gooding Blvd, Delaware, OH 43015
(740) 549-1950

Rascal Animal Hospital
5830 Britton Pkwy, Dublin, OH 43016
(614) 791-7729

Step 2

If you still require financial assistance after calling and finding out pricing for the clinics listed above, request a voucher using the form below. We use a voucher system to assist with payment for surgery.

• The co-pay (clinic’s cost of surgery – SNAP donation = cost to you) to have a cat spayed/neutered is $30.00 and a dog under 70lbs is $50.00.
• Rabies vaccine is required for surgery and is not covered by the voucher, so you will be responsible for that cost.
If your dog is over 70lbs, you will be responsible for the extra cost and it varies for each clinic.
